Professional Counseling Background
Thor Knutstad, director and counselor of Personal Counseling Solutions, is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University (Langhorne, PA) and Biblical Theological Seminary, (Hatfield, PA). Thor has maintained a growing private practice counseling service in the Philadelphia suburbs and is now in the Greater Erie region. For 6 years, Thor served as the pastoral counselor of NorthPointe Community Church where he created The NorthPointe Counseling Center, a ministry for churches and the local community. Thor has served on the board of directors at New Life Youth and Family Services (PA), and has counseled for the Christian Counseling Educational Foundation (Philadelphia, PA) and Calvary Church Counseling Center of Souderton (PA). He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, an affiliate of the American Psychological Association, certified marital assessment trainer with Prepare/Enrich, and is a licensed, ordained minister of the gospel. He has been counseling and consulting for over twelve years. He and his wife, Andrea, have two sons, Jordan and Bryn.
